Chapter 06

Idiom(习语)和 slang(俚语)经常被混用,但严格说差别很大:

维度Idiom(习语)Slang(俚语)
例子break a leg, piece of cakelit, no cap, slay

I was over the moon when I got the job offer—it felt like a piece of cake
during the interview. But the salary cost an arm and a leg to negotiate,
and HR was walking on eggshells about the timeline. We were back to square
one twice. Eventually, we hit the nail on the head and signed. Now I'm
bringing home the bacon, but I have to bite the bullet on a long commute.
At least it's a blessing in disguise—I get to read on the train.

  4. break a leg / piece of cake / spill the beans 是 idiom 三件套,用频极高。
